People over process works has an interesting "reverse" meaning too. Having too many processes, or processes that are too authoritarian, takes away the fun and autonomy from a job. Great people want to have both autonomy and control in how they work. Reaching out for the "process" solution whenever there's some mishap will alienate these folks.

I agree very much with all above! 🙌 I have always said that 95% of problems in teams come because people do not speak to each other, but recently I expanded it (after having a good discussion with one of the good wise leaders in our company)and we added to speaking part also listening and then maintaining it - all equally important ☺️

Let’s say people have clear ownership, available space and time to communicate, but still job is not done. Does it 100% mean people are not competent enough? What steps usually should be taken in this case?
