One of the best posts on burnout I've read. I keep coming back to this post every once in a while and have it pinned to appear in my chrome tabs regularly with a snooze extension. Almost without fault it manages to pop up when I've been spiralling again, and helps keep me grounded a bit. Thank you for writing it!

But I have a question: How do you handle burnout when you have deadlines and cannot indulge in recreational activities for some time? Coming from a Master's student that is also working a full-time job and had done everything at the last moment his whole life and got away with it thus creating this destructive anxiety-inducing behaviour model.
